The statement outlines eight principles fundamental to feminism and the achievement of gender equality and reinforces the place that trans, intersex, and nonbinary people have alongside many others in feminist movements.

We believe that feminist human and social rights movements have to stand united against threats to democracy and fundamental freedoms, and for the principles of human rights, social justice, and equality.

The affirmation of feminist principles has been drafted through a rigorous, collaborative process jointly by feminist women’s and human rights organisations, and LGBTIQ+ and trans-led organisations.
