ASEAN SOGIE Caucus, ASC, is a sub-regional network of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer LGBTIQ organisations in Southeast Asia.
It is an NGO registered in the Philippines and is working together with organisations and individuals in 11 countries: Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Myanmar, Indonesia, the Philippines, Laos, Timor Leste, Cambodia, Vietnam and Brunei.
RFSL is working with ASCs since 2018, with support from Forum Syd. The project is focused on building the capacity of local and national organisations within the Southeast Asian region, and to foster South-South cooperation and experience exchange.
Activities include leadership trainings, developing a joint referral system matching needs and capacities of organisations, and support to small scale advocacy efforts. ASC was initiated by, among others, RFSLs long-time partner organisation Arus Pelangi in Indonesia.
